Tonight around 7:30 pm on Junipero Serra I was driving toward Ocean Ave. I was in the middle lane and had to move over to the next lane so i could turn onto my street, which was the next intersection. About a quarter down the block after the stoplight i signal to merge into the right lane and a 02-03 Sonic Yellow WRX sped up to block me. I had to go back into my lane and see if he would back off. He backed off a little and i once again tried to move over and he sped up again to block me. WHAT AN A*S!!!


to you Mr. Yellow WRX. Please lean how to drive on our roads and share lanes.

quite frankly, i dont signal until right before i make a move...cuz usually people like that always try to block me....

 

I dunno, but when i signal the usual response is to either let me pass, or go faster and make me get behind.

If driving like an a$$ is knowing how to drive, i guess a lot of us don't know how to drive

I always find myself muttering, faster or slower, make a choice damnit, don't go at the same speed as i am right next to me!

I always make sure my signal turn signal is on 50 to 100 feet before I make my turn and it works 99% of the time. Now if a jerk like the one described here comes along, I just let him pass by or smoke his **** and be done with it that's all.

next time, just slow down and let him be..its not worth it...as long as you and scoob are fine...that's all that matters

 

You did everything right. You showed the other driver courtesy by signaling your intentions. Courtesy and safety go hand-in-hand. There are some drivers, sadly even a few subie owners like this rex owner, who feel they have something to prove behind the wheel of their car.
