WRX Blue Paint Chipping! :-(

WRX Blue Paint Chipping! :-(
So, in my opinion I think the one color people think of when they hear WRX/STI is the blue. Some refer to it as "pull over blue."
I was washing my car today and I have a thiousand little white chips all over my hood/front bumper . I only went to the snow twice this year. I am pretty maticulous as far as washing and waxing. I just dont understand how a car with only 18,000 miles could be so chipped up. I drive 65-75 on the freeway. It is rare I ever go faster than that. Gas and tickets are way to much to go faster than that. And the meet and drive april 27th will be my first time taking her off the paved road.
My question is: Is anyone else having problems with thier paint chipping.What is causing it to chip so easily/badly. I was told that it was only the blue color, perhaps it is other colors as well. I heard 05-06 was a bad paint year for sure. But my buddy has an 02 bugeye and his front is pretty bad as well.
I know some people say that we have a great car for a good price, subaru had to cheap out somewhere and the paint was it. I find that hard to believe. Anyway if anyone has any insight into this it would be very helpful.

meh i got the same problem, tiny tiny lil rocks just raped your car like it did mine. but mine is a 07 cgm so dun worry about. Just cover it up with some mud. hahahah

I got an 07 wrb wrx with only 7k miles and I got my fair share of chips on the front bumper...I bet most of it was caused when I drove to reno twice this season

can you see the clear bra? or does it look really good

Yeah, I have a tube of blue touch up paint for nicks and really minor stuff. It's only $7, so probably at least worth a shot for you. Here's a LINK.
