conflicting information, it says there WILL be a WRX. I wonder how the new drivelines will stack against the current ones.

They won't drop the bread and butter (imo) of the Impreza line. It will be redesigned but I believe there will be another WRX.

Hmm:"There are no plans to carry over the intermediate WRX model." By intermediate, I think that this refers to the WRX with the 2.5 liter engine.

Previous sentence: Subaru isn't breaking with tradition under the bonnet; the new Impreza will be powered by a choice of naturally-aspirated 1.5- and 2.0-litre petrol 'flat-four' boxer engines to begin with. (tradition dictates that the 2.0 is turbocharged)

That's a UK site. Other countries get small-displacement motors. That's an old concept, not the new car, and it has very little to do with the car we'll see here in the US.

The B5 concept above is a design study only, and won't have much to do with the new hatches.

+1, keep in mind we've already seen the camo'd production car on the streets here in the U.S., looks like a hood scoop to me

and looks nothing like that prototype, even with all the camo.
