If oln has it this year that would be ok. But if they f*ck it up like what they did to the Dakar i'll be very upset.

OLN got pulled from the normal satellite schedule, its an "upgraded channel" now i guess. you have to pay more.
anyone know how to get it added on to basic cable?...my friend has golf and OLN on like channel 81 and 84 or whatever on BASIC CABLE.... as in $40 a month cable.... in wall cable.

That would suck if it went to OLN. Their Dakar coverage last year sucked (haven't seen this years yet), and more importantly, I don't get OLN without upgrading to digital.
But then again, the same thing happened last year. They didn't renew the WRC contract till early January, and everyone seemed to freak out. If they were to drop it, this year is certainly probable, but I wouldn't assume that they aren't just yet.

One suggestion on the Speed Channel message boards was to contact your television provider (DirecTV in my case) and make a request for Eurosport I and II. They cover the WRC in it's entirety and probably make more appropriate comments and observations about the WRC. I just sent a request to DirecTV, but the more people that do it, the better.
Here's the link to the Speed Channel message board.

In addition, here's the link to DirecTV's customer support page in case there are other DirecTV subscribers that would be inclined to write them a similar comment/suggestion.

I'd do almost anything to assure WRC coverage this year in the US.
