It's 103.5 The Bomb, and on Sunday nights, they have a show called "Tha Bassment", where they only play commercial-free East-Coast style Hip Hop!

damn I haven't heard that much solid music since I was in New York last...definately a huge relief from all the KRAP on 94.9, 102.5, and 106.1...

That station should be called 103.5 The Ghetto.

Hard Rock Cafe downtown used to have 103.5 there on weekends but they stopped all that due to the "clientele" the radio station would attract. They had a ton of fights and thefts and ****.

103.5 is ghetto...i remember flipping through it while i went to school in davis.

as for 94.9 & 106.1...they are trash!

 

Ive always listened to 103.5, until theres a long commercial then I flip to 102.5. East coast rap is something I dont really want to hear, I'd much rather hear local stuff I knew someone back when I was in high school in Vallejo that ran his own station out of his garage (illegally) and played ALL the local stuff and of course, unedited That was ghetto-riffic!!! (especially when he smoked some weed with N2Deep on the air, it was hilarious!!! LOL!)

 

92.7 plays alot of the rap I like, they give the Bay Area rappers alot of airtime like E-40 Tha Ballertician (one of my favorite rappers of all time), 2Pac, EA Ski, Too $hort, etc. KMEL's mix show actually aint all that bad. Saturday nights/early sunday morning they play alot of dope east coast underground stuff too.

I dunno, I dont really like Sac radio stations. Sac is ghetto, they're like 2 years behind the Bay Area when it comes to everything. I can't even get clear reception for 102.5 anyways.

 

actually, the BEST radio station in sac is teh new 103.9 .. ALL 80's!! cant beat that.
