I was thinking of doing this a while back, and, now that I've been seeing so many wild and crazy ride$ rolling around lately, I guess it's time......



We already have a "Sightings" thread for posting encounters w/our own Suby folk, but, since a lot of us are owners+enthusiasts+fans of other marques & beasts as well, I thought it'd be kinda fun to have a thread to share our sightings of other nice rides as well.


Unfortunately, I don't have any pics to kick this thing off properly, but here's a few I just saw (or heard about through the grapevine & am working on getting pics+more 411 about).............



--this past Sunday around 9pm at the intersection of Fulton & Park Presidio in SF.....blue E39 BMW M5 sounding wicked as heck in the next lane over w/plate, "GOT BHP." (i don't have many but wonder how many he had)

--past Tuesday around 5:30pm in the Stonestown Galleria parking lot (in front of Chevy's+Olive Garden).......black early 00's NSX in the opposite direction w/an Asian dude behind the wheel & some sort of 19" 3pc star design rollers w/painted silver faces+polished lips...maybe Volk GT-C's

--11 sec silver 03 Benz E55......have not seen it yet but will soon if I can make it out to my old friend's shop one of the days. apparently, he's had it for a little while, but I just heard about it. I'm pretty sure at least a few guys on here know who & what I'm talking about too cuz the guy+shop+car are near several of the vendors+guys on here.....real close, in fact.

oh, and I heard my old homeboy's shop hooked up an even SICKER (but never timed/tracked) pewter colored E55 w/an Eisenmann exhaust+headers, upgraded pulleys (not sure what brand), high flow airboxes+filters, 20" MAYAS, and some other goodies. Owner had an insane ICE system put in by another shop too, w/the BLING BLING multiple LCD screens and everything.


i've seen a lot of other crazy exce$$ rolling all over the place lately too, incl a coupla Lambo Murci's & Ferrari F430+360's, but I'll save some of the others for later. i dunno what's going on tho....there have always been some nice cars roaming around up here, but over the last year or so, things really seem to have taken off in the Bay....I guess everyone's pulling their dough outa the slumping stock+real estate markets and just blowing it on baller ride$ or something....sure seems like it. LOL

 

a guy pulls into work every day with the sickest green raised Dodge Ram pickup

 

I see a Black 90's model Porsche 911 turbo lowered on BBS LM's and the freshest exhaust note (almost subaru'ish but deeper) that I've heard. He drives by my work on San Pablo Ave. almost everyday.

I also see a ton of modified subarus in the Berkeley/Albany, but for the life of me I haven't seen them at a single meet or on any forums?

I saw a Brabbus Bi-turbo V12 Mercedes on the Bay Bridge, I couln't believe the meat on the wheels.

^^^i've seen that black 90's 911 turbo w/the LM's rolling around too.....pretty nice. if you guys like porsches, i'll see if i can head down to a shop another one of my old acquaintances works at in SF....they specialize in Porsches. if any of you spots a midnight blue 996 w/a factory GT2 kit+seats, that's another one of my old pals....he usually just keeps in the city tho.

anyways, kinda slow weekend on the streets...i guess a lot of the carheads around the Bay took off for warmer climates & an early July 4th weekend. I'm heading back to the mecca of glorious auto exce$$, SoCal, at the end of the week for a lil shindig that is gonna have a bunch of crazy rides, so maybe I'll post a few shots in here or a separate thread since they won't exactly be Bay sightings.

 

hmm, slim pickins in here we sure got a lota peeping toms tho. c'mon, guys, you can play too!


oh well, been a little preoccupied w/other things rather than keeping tabs on whats roaming the streets the last few days, but here's a few teaser pics of what i'm gonna be capturing for my scrapbook.

rides+dude is in SoCal, but he's got some old roots+ties here in The Bay, so it's all good.....

i seen, or actually heard a mean *** car pull up next to me earlier tonite on 19th. i could see what it was...red and at first looked like a viper. the back said Esponiola(sp?). couldnt make it out too well, any idea?

 

today i saw a younger asian woman driving a new yellow C6 ZO6 that already has a cage, BBS/w slicks, and a mean sounding exhaust in Belmont.

 

I saw that same exact model Bentley parked (heh) near Potrero and 23rd/24th near SF General.

It was parked along the sidewalk, next to old, broken down cars, and in a poor-average neighborhood.

 

This guy with a CGT used to come into work when I did valet at PF Changs, there are also about 5 Phantoms rolling around the WC area and a few Murcialagos too.

 

well, i'm back to reality after 4 days of fun. i had some tech difficulties (MAJOR mishap), so pics will not be as plentiful as they were going to be. i still managed to save a few nice shots tho.....will be up tomorrow cuz I'm pooped.

btw, no matter what, The Bay will always be home, but I LOVE LA.....always have & always will. Man, I miss that place!

oh, and .......


cool.....i'm not really a fan of the Spur's backside but the nose is pretty clean.

i really gotta start kicking myself into overdrive....dope rides & material things are just that.......things....and not really the most important stuff in life. but, they sure do look sweet and make things a little more fun!

I personally haven't seen anything really cool lately. Meh.

 

That's what I was thinking. The hotter models, such as the LM, sound pretty mean, much like the modified '03+ SVT Cobras (same motor).
