Daniel, after working at a bar for a stretch of seven years, I'd say the best remedy for a hangover is a bloody mary...

I had my worst hangover a year ago last may, drank from noon til night on Sunday, mostly tequilla and beer. Someone started making vodka lemonade and it was lights out after that. I only slept a few hours and was puking/shaking the rest of the night and morning. I honestly felt like I was on the verge of death.

Talk about a great Monday morning at work!

feel your pain. I've had times when they last two straight days; makes for a triumphant third day though.

And on the topic of getting surgery hungover, I downed a 12'r of natty ice the night before I got my ACL replaced (don't ask me why, it was idiotic) and so when they plugged me into a saline drip, the bag emptied in a only a few minutes. The second took a little longer, and on the third they looked at me funny. Hangover gone though!

are there any resident paramedics down there?

the BEST hangover remedy, by far, is a fresh warm bag of saline. many years ago i taught myself to start an IV on myself (dont ask how many times i missed *shiver*). then started to bring home almost expired bags of saline before we threw them away at the private i worked at back in the day.

it is like a warm blanket wrapping itself around you so ever gently. in an hour i am back to normal.

i still keep a few 18 guage needles around if i am desperate. i have a few buddies who work at the local FD if i need a fresh saline bag. i have only needed it once in the last 2 years. clear lake for scorpions/defleopard/bachlor party weekend. drunk for 48 hours, alcohol poisening for 4 days. never again, until next year....

get better brucelee

Been there...done that...twice...back in college. Try not to drink so much that it happens again. I hate not being able to remember anything the next morning and puking out everything I eat or drink and puking from the sight of the alcohol bottles. The only thing I can retain in my stomach was warm milk.
