I remember getting some Marklin stuff when I was little and on a trip in Germany, but I have no clue where it is now.

I do have tons of Lionel stuff still though

yep. My pops (62) grew up in germany on the base, and consequently has been OBSESSED with trains his whole life. Other people are like so wait? you are packing up all your gear, going to sit in cold crappy weather and camp next to railroad tracks to watch some train coming thru? yea we don't understand it........but who knows. Maybe back in the day you would see trains, and so many people riding on them, combined with the fact long traveling back then was generally before a move or a big change, A TRAIN TO YOUR DREAMS!, so maybe the represent hope in the future?

had to also say this. few years ago my dad asked me to sell this "dinkie toy" it's called. Essentially an old totally janky looking matchbox car. I'm thinking like some jackass is really going to pay 50 bucks for this?

try over 1400. are you kidding me? that guy is a douche cake who purchased it, I KNOW IT!
