Yeah, private all-boys school, De La Salle U and La Salle Greenhills. We had a pretty good football team in high school.

Pickup game for the win!

I was a goal keeper for years and also played as a striker... I haven't played in some years but still love a friendly game. We should totally do it, I'll get Mike from GST to come along, he plays all the time and is pretty good.

I remember we did this back in the day, I think it was 2002 when the WRX first came out. It was me, Mike, and a bunch of other BAICers playing at Cal State Hayward (East Bay)... David (Group B) brought beers and drinks for everyone, it was fun times until we got kicked off the pitch by security (apparently you can play there as long as you don't come in groups with intent to play, you have to come by yourself and play pickup games with other people who came alone... At least thats what the guards told us, weird eh?)

Mexico should be fine. Blanco will put the team on his hunch back.
If USA doesn't get out of the groups they suck. They lost Davies who I believe played a big role on that team. USA was very lucky during Confederations.

Portugal has a long way to go to win a WC title. If Ronaldo ever decides to show up and play for the national team they'll get far. During qualification he did absolutely nothing! He likes to play when it counts so since they're in now maybe he'll decide to play. Liedson will definitely give a boost to the team since Portugal has always lacked in the forward department. I just wished they were going into the WC with a different coach.

Sunday I play in the South Bay Adult League, although it has a new name now. Monday nights I play at Off The Wall Soccer.

Which division for the South Bay Team? My friends started a team in that league this year. I played a few seasons at off the wall but it got really expensive. Then I moved to MVP but their facility isn't that great. I was at Strikers Den but work schedule conflicted with games. I'm currently playing in the Peninsula League on Sunday's which is only a winter/fall league =(

I've probably came across you on the field at some point in time...

LOL Blanco hunch. Yea Mexico can get passed that group if Castillo gets his act together and starts playing right, and with Memo Ochoa IMO the secont best goalie behind Iker Casillas from Spain.

I feel bad for Portugal because they landed in the same group with Kaka and the rest of Brazil and Drogba and the rest of Ivory Coast. Thats going to be hard.

It was the lower mens division at Southbay. Team is called Rovers. Havent' play since mid-October since i've hurt my knee.

I heard MVP wasn't that great and Striker's Den is just a pain to get to during traffic times but I hear it is nice. Off the Wall is pricey but I need my soccer fix.

I'm hoping Portugal doesn't make it out of the group stage. The reason being that I don't like CR9. I think he whines too much. He has phenomenal skill but the way he acts makes me not like him.

There's a Rovers team in the league I play. Bunch of old Irish guys though.
Strikers Den is a really nice facility.

Can't hate a team just because of one player. I'm huge a Ronaldo fan since he was young coming out the Sporting Academy. Its pretty crazy how he's changed though.

Someone had to say it, I don't know how many Italy fans popped out of the woodwork when they won. The best team definitely did not win the WC that time around. Moving on, this WC is going to be awesome, except for all the empty seats.

Always up to play some pick-up, I am at Baylands Park off 237 and Lawrence (Caribbean) Tues, Weds, and sometimes Thurs. Also come the start of WC I will be watching games on a 100" pj at my place if anyone is down also planning on hitting up the Britannia Arms for a couple matches

So close to the start of the WC. Picked up a new USA, Mexico and Ivory Coast jersey. Not going to work on June 11th so I can watch the opening games.
