Its gonna be a few days to a few weeks, and about a month or 2 before legit user reviews come out.

anyways, that looks like a nice system. would be cool if it had ipod compatibility .
Honestly man, in this day and age, car alarms are a dime a dozen... do you even turn your head when you hear one going off in the parking lot? My civic has been broken into 4 times, alarm has gone off each time, and not once have I been at a police station pressing charges. The new alarms with the pager feature (where you get paged if it goes off) might be the only kind worth getting, because at least YOU give a darn about your car...and it at least gives you a fighting chance of catching the guy.

If I were to get something like this, I'd fab up a little plastic cover that fits over the screen. It's going to do just as good a job at deterring thieves as an alarm. Sucks, but it's a fact...

I am also interested in seeing if this unit will require a bypass or not. And if it does, will it be as simple as grounding a wire, or require something more intense.

Time will tell

That's pretty sweet, but don't have the baller $ flow for it. I also get scared about thieves wanting something for nothing. Even if insurance covered it it's still as hassle! When those become standard like a cd/am/fm in-dash player, then I'll get one. I guess I had my cars broken into one too many times

best security...tint your windows. if they cant see in, most likely they will move on. especially if they can see a blue LED light flashing inside.

i was contemplating between the d3 and the n2 but finally stuck with the n2 for several reasons. the obvious reason was that the d3 is a double din unit which is too obvious that you have a nice in dash system. nothing conceals it so it will be an easy target for thieves to notice whereas the n2 just flips in and you remove the face and thats that. second the screen seems a little small.. 6.1" compared to the industry standard 6.5-7". and third, since this thing is new there isn't much support/hacks/mods on it yet. who knows how long it'll take before someone can find the hack to bypass the dvd/navi restriction (im sure it wont take too long tho). However the d3 is nice because it just plain looks oem when installed and oem=sexy! i woulda opted for it if there was some type of concealment so it doesn't scream "STEAL ME!"

the only thing i see as a problem is the fact that there is only one slot for cd/dvd so if you want to listen to a cd you have to take out the map disc and cannot use the navi system. correct me if i'm wrong. i like the eclipse avn for the one reason that it has separate slots for cd and dvd granted that it is much more expensive.

Oh man... totally correct. That's kind of a huge oversight on their part. Okay, D3 is offciailly off my radar now.
