yeah, sure i can file my insignifigant little complaints about this place, but if half the **** i hear about nasioc is true, then there is no ****ing way i'm even going to bother getting a membership.

 

Some people have thicker skin than others, and can give and take negative comments much more easily....

 

You'll hear the BAICers give NASIOC ALOT of ****. Theres alot of 2 year politics behind it too. Its like highschool, and just stupid. I dont know the story between Nick (NASIOC's owner) and Alex (i-club's owner), and I dont really care. Theres stupid **** that happens on both of them, esp. BAIC.

When it comes right down to it though, NASIOC has a better archive of posts (when the 2 sites split, NASIOC got the history, i-club got the name), more people posting and yes, more flaming.

If I need technical information, I read NASIOC. Plain and simple. Yes, people get flamed for asking about intakes and BOVs, but really, I'd rather get 10 flames and 1 good answer then than the deafening silence or uneducated babble that is most of the i-club technical forums.

If I want local information, I read BAIC.

I'll probably get banned for this . Speaking positivly about NASIOC is verboten here.

 

I agree 100% with mcowger, even if it's not pc here. The technical forums on NASIOC get a lot more traffic, and I couldn't care less about the fluff and drama surrounding both sites.

 

I got a membership just to see how quick I could get banned. Best decision I have ever made.

greedy enought to run a 100k a year (in revenue) site from his house because he was to DUMB and CHEAP to put it in a proper colo site with backups/upes/generators/etc

why do you think the site went down so often last hurricane season?

You can choose to dislike Nick all you like, but the fact remains, for technical information, it kills i-club hands down. No amount of moaning about Nick's colocation or connectivity choices changes that.

This seems like a pattern with you Dre - you choose to devalue someone's accomplishment by basing your arguments on an ad hominum attack rather than making a point about something relevant. Happened with Ed Vaus, happening again here.

Never once did i attack eds technical skills, i attacked (once again) his stupid choices in the way he conducted his buisness. Granted those were directly related to his in experience with buisness but none the less he has rectified all those issues from what i can tell.
