Just brings too many idiots together, think that drifting started in Oakland, and make every person in the world want LS swaps.

I just want them to do larger courses for the am drift events... and do more of them with better judging.
If they do a D1 event they should try and partner up with global and do a time attack event as well.

The gooby makes it confusing so ignore it lol.
Apparently SR swaps or leaving it stock is not what you should do for 240s these days its LS or RB26 with gargantuan turbos or bust.... I can't stand the scene anymore. That's all.

Just saying...
No point in running a stock motor if you want to do anything serious with drifting... Even the d1 guys are mostly running v8's these days.

My cousin had a fully built black top SR with a nice turbo on it and blew it up. He's rebuilding his with an LS right now. His room mate is currently running an LS. It makes more sense for upper level driving. Higher speeds more sustained angle, instant torque. Etc. I love my cousin's room mates car and his car. I personally think that when my cousin is on point he and his room mate are top 5 am's in the state right now. Both running 240/180's with LS1's and fully custom suspension built mostly by them and my cousin's buddy.

Im not saying its a bad thing to do but looks what its led into, I need 500+ hp on my daily driver, I need more power in the GT-86 it's gotta have a v8 for it so I can do uphills. I don't think all people who have LS swaps are like this as you've pointed out but its plain annoying when you have friends tell you go to watch a video on the drift day a couple weeks ago and announcers are bagging on SR swaps saying they should've only done an LS. It's complete bull**** in my opinion. Another prime example in this community itself, when I say I'd rather have a 2.0 and not a 2.5, and you get these confused faces, yeah that's whats ridiculous about the car culture these days.
I'm not trying to bag on all guys who are ionvolved but this I'm just saying in general that's how people are looking into this these days.
