Who shoots a dog?! SERIOUSLY??
I saw this story on the news this evening and it made me sick to my stomach. I guess someone in the East Bay decided to shoot this pitbull a few times in the leg and pelvis and left him to die. Luckily, an Oakland fightfighter found him and rushed him to the animal hospital where doctors had to perform a life saving operation on him. The good news is that he is on his way to a full recovery and hopefully get adopted into a loving home. I already showed my girlfriend this video and told her Remy's story and she almost started crying. Call me what you will but I have a soft spot for dogs, especially pitbulls. You can see the scars from his bulletwounds. He for sure is a trooper.
If anyone is interested, Remy is at the Oakland Animal Shelter and is looking for a place to call home.

Remy looks almost exactly like Tank...

While I do not condone random acts of violence on animals (as appears to the case in this story), I shoot dogs.
When a family pet gets out and attacks my livestock, I give the owners one chance.
After that, I shoot the dog the next time it attempts to harm my livestock.
It sucks, but it's no one's fault but the irresponsible pet owner.

1) letting their dog get out numerous times
2) Not training the dog to not attack other animals
