XBConnect? i really hope you're joking. If you havent played H2 on XBLive, you seriously need to try it. No more sitting around waiting for games, no more yelling into the next room, "hey, is there a game up yet??" And best of all, no more getting matched up with people that totally suck or totally ruin you.

Im SturmenE36 on XBL. I am always looking for new good team players, because playing Rumble Pit and/or Skirmishes with people you dont know is just as masturbatory as playing campaign mode.

If anyone is interested in getting together some 4 or 8 man teams, post again because Im not going to add all those gamertags to my list

no....not joking...

works good. No waiting for us....we have a network all through the houses, with the PC at our sides. We kill plenty of all levels. Even though Live is not expensive...XBC is free!!

Maybe we'll hook up sometime on live and play you

Xbconnect is great. It's free.

Xbconnect you don't have to wait long... usually no more than 1-2 mins and then if you leave the lobby open people can just come and go. There's no lag so long as the host has a good upload speed. It allows for voice communication so I'm not seeing where it's lacking aside from the convenience of downloadable content; which by the way can be had through a demo disk from a magazine I would read anyhow.

So xbox live users can enjoy their radom map... have fun playing on burial grounds 10 times in a row.

Whereas on xbconnect you pick everything you want and play with whomever you choose at anytime with any settings. Xbox live's lack of a lobby sucks.

Oh and it's free. Annnd I can and have been playing the original halo with it for over 3 years... have you ever done that? Not with xbox live.

If you havent tried XBLive, I urge you to. Otherwise, Im not going to argue with anyone about what video game internet service is better.

heres why I use it:
I play with all my old high school buddies, and for that, its perfectly golden. It was cool playing 4 v 4 CTF on BG, but we had to split my screen 4 ways, and we all had to be together (only playing on breaks and such). Now, we can get almost the same level of interaction using the communicators. We can develop strategies, plans, etc, and its all so much easier and fun with a full screen to yourself. Im all about the coordination, and unless you got everyone in the same house, its not really possible with Halo1. I dont know what kind of voice chat XBConnect supports, but I doubt you have the convenience of a headset on your controller. I dont know if this is the case, but I wouldnt want to have to have my computer next to my XBox just so I can run an headset through it.

It sorta sucks not picking your own maps, but at the same time, its mostly a blessing. That way, you dont get good at just one map and best of all, you dont fall into the same "CTF BG 8V8 HERE!!!@@!" trap. I use the rumble pit for training of my twitchy skills, but other than that, Halo is no fun unless I'm coordinating with a team. I could care less if I had the worst game ever, because my ultimate fun is when my team pulls off some ultra-sweet move as a unit to deliever the bomb, flag, etc.

My Gtag is SturmenE36, and Ill be playing tonight after about 8:00. Always looking for good teammates (TEAM mates, not guys who are lvl 16 in the pit...although that definitely helps). My clan might be playing tonight, but if you send me a request, Ill definitely play with you later on or tomorrow.

Have fun, whatever game you choose!

halo is a totally different game thatn halo2. same name, same ideas, but halo2 holds new weapons and capabilities. i gaurantee that if you try halo2 on xbox live you'll need a few weeks to get adjusted to it. I cam from almost a year of halo and i got my **** kicked a few times by 12 year olds before realizing how truly different the two games were

did we mention that it's FREE!!!!!! So if your 1 month Xboxlive pass expired....you can download xbconnect and play for free...as long as you want. Plus there are more, better features than Xboxlive.
