my first car was my dads old 1986 honda accord lx-i. It was an automatic and the transmission started going bad. Wouldn't shift unless the car was warm and even then it wouldn't shift very well. One day it wouldn't start so we got rid of it and i got a wrx

I had a few back in the day,
like 9 years ago I built my first one,
87 sedan with a LS drop in it, that thing was a sleeper, ugly freakin thing but it was quick.
Then built an 87 SI hatch, did a drop on that one too, it was so small it was like driving a go kart.
89 lx was my wifes at the time, dumped a bunch of $$$ in the suspension so it would handle
then I had a 91 SI hatch, it was my road race car, ran that thing at about 20 track days etc till I sold it to build a rally car

1991 Honda Accord
I do think there's a flawed premise with this poll - namely, I believe that people who HAVE owned a Honda are much more likely to read/vote to a thread entitled "Who has owned a Honda before?"

I still have my 89 Honda Prelude as my Daily Driver because I commute from hayward to santa cruz daily for work and I dont want to put that many miles onto my Subaru WRX. My prelude has 290K miles on the original Motor and original Tranny, but I replaced the clutch twice which isnt bad for 290K miles, My father was the original owner, he gave it to me when I turned 16 and it only had 20K miles on it so basically I put on 270K miles on that car in 7 years. Another honda we have in the family is the element (GF's car) that thing is a piece of garbage, I cannot believe she bought that car, she makes good money and could have afforded a really nice car and she picks that box thing. I cannot believe how ugly it is and how sluggish it is as well. That thing does not go anywhere it is the biggest waste of car ever. If anyone is considering that ugly slow POS, change your mind cuz that thing is terrible. I got into a fight with her over that, ha ha. The sad thing is I told her not to get it before she got it and she's had it for 3 months now and she already hates that thing. She is talkina bout trading it in for a Honda Pilot or Acura MDX now. I dont know what it is, but she likes honda's so chances are she won't get anything but a honda. She had a 94 Acura Legend in mint condition before getting the element and that thing ran great as well. I love hondas, but I hate rice. As long as a honda is tastefully modded, or used as a commuter, I have no problem with it at all. They make great cars and I wouldn't buy anything else for a daily driver/commuter.

I owned a 1985 Honda Accord (red) and
my beloved 1990 Honda Civic Si in cherry condition before my WRX. But if it never happened, I would never gotten my WRX Wagon. The bestest car in the world!

By the way... that's what $11,000 in damages looks like on a $13,000 (circa 1990) Honda Civic Si compliments of a Ford F250 pickup truck at 35mph.
