yeah, downtown SJ has something over at discovery meadow.

id recommend getting here early since parking will be a pain, or take public transportation.

You can go to the Shoreline Ampetheatre parking lot and watch their show. Or anywhere down around that area. It's usually pretty good, just don't get stuck in the traffic jam after the fireworks end.

Am I the only one that thinks fireworks are boring unless you're doing them yourself?

no, i love blowing sh*t up... this is the first year in the last 3 that i didn't get a couple 1/4 sticks of dynamite from my uncle whos hella redneck and makes the damn things.

anyway... we put a 5 gallon bucket inside another 5 gallon bucket, then fill it with water... light the 1/4 stick and drop it in....3.....2.....1..... BOOM!

that crap shoots bucket shrapnel over 50' in ever direction and water EVERYWHERE... we do it right in the middle of the street... my dad is usually the one that lights it too lmao
