Where to get Optima Red locally

As stated. Anybody know? My battery is dead and can't get the car started.

yes, you can get the regular 35 also but you will need a longer starter cable

I don't think Kragen has them anymore. I just picked up a new battery and was looking for that one when i went in. They only had one kind and it was just a normal one

^^ I thought with the regular 35 or group 35 you dont' need the starter extension? That is the point of getting the 35 instead of the 75-35.

I am all confused now..

nope you need the "R" for the reversed terminals on the red top, I think its "D" or something else on the yellows

Costco also has a model, but not sure if it's right for the Suby. I thought I looked once and it was the model for my '01 RS.

correcto, i just had to get a battery a few days ago and went with the regular 35( it was all anyone local had) and bought a longer cable. was about a 30 min job to swap the cables.. say hello to some strong cranking power!

on the optima topic. Someone told me to stay away from them now that they are owned and built by someone else.

Any other quality options. I have a red top in my car now but I need a new battery that can take 800watts and a crappy alternator. stupid cheap SOA.
