I need to get a ballast for my HID. Just one.. They are for the bug eye jdm HID headlight. I know they are the same as the Nissan Maxima one.

Best bet would be EBAY. I got a maxima ballast for my STI HIDS last year for a pretty decent price.

well my light went out.. so how can you tell if the blast is dead or the bulb? I have everything hard wired so it's not possible to switch from left to right.

I had the same question when my ballast went out. I swapped out the ballast on the bad side w/ the ballast on the good side to make sure it was the ballast. In my case, once I did the ballast swap everything worked. I'm assuming if you swap ballasts and things are not working, its most likely the bulb.

Yeah I can do that.. but the way my system is setup it's not as easy as swaping since it's all hardwired. So if I had to switch then it would be cutting and soldering..

I have heard that if the ballast is bad.. the light will still go on but then it flashes.. or something like that..

just in case you do buy from ebay, i bought from the seller 'retrofit-source'. I had no issues, fast shipping and they worked w/o problems.
