Where do you get your Subaru parts?
I have been a loyal subaruparts.com customer since somewhere in 2002, but have not been able to successfully contact them in the last month. I have been on hold for over 3 hours now, left at least 4 messages and sent at least 3 emails - gotten no response.
I tried sending an email to Chaplins/subarugenuineparts and got a quick email back saying "if you want help with these parts please send your VIN" which I did, and never got a response back there either. I am not looking for the regular Subaru parts counter like Carlsen where you pay more than list, but will do that if I need to. I have been trying to get parts for my Justy for over a month now.... |
I've used http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/ before with no problems at all. Give them a part number.
Or call Subaru of santa cruz. That's where I go for my stock parts. One or the other. I can get a 10% discount there if that helps any. Or buy some subaru bucks from someone. |

Usually I can find the part numbers myself but this time I couldn't, so I emailed a description. Trish from subaruparts is always helpful and always has gotten me what I needed in the past even when I was looking for something weird for my Justy but I just cannot reach them. |
Anyone got the part number for the push in clip thingys under the front bumper and for the skid guard? Repeatedly removing them plastic things using a flat screwdriver has some of mine worn...figure i'd buy some extras to keep handy.
I get my parts from the friendly parts guy at Prestige Imports.
His number is: 800-773-1855 -Gregory He helps out answering questions, and gives i-club members a discount if you tell him you are from i-club. May not be as cheap as some of the others mentioned here, but personal service and helpful information makes up for that.
Awesome Roo - that is exactly the kind of ref I am looking for. I have TONS of respect for a great parts guy, and value means more to me than simply saving a buck... |

One thing I think a lot of people don't realize is that a dealership parts department, rather than being like walking into a store to buy stuff, is staffed by sales people who have leeway in pricing.

Hmm... The last time I bought a part at Carlsen, I asked them why their parts were full bore list price and was told "that's what happens when you buy parts at the dealership" from the guy behind the counter. I asked if I could get any kind of discount on parts since I had all my WRX service done there and was told no. Parts I got from subaruparts.com were usually around HALF the price I was quoted at Carlsen, including shipping. BTW that was the best experience I ever had at Carlsen (prolly since it was the last). |
