yes as of now they are in the process of filing chapter 11, though I would be really surprised if the were not bought by another company, I think you will be able to buy SSRs for a while
try Tire Rack, they sell alot of SSRs, not really local(Reno) but they're pretty cheap and have a big inventory

I talked to Luke at tirerack on friday, and he mentioned that SSR patented the SSF process, and it's doubtful that they will cease making SSF wheels and will probably continue making the other cast/forged wheels.
He also mentioned that they have a couple of containers coming in filled with black and silver SP1s. It doesn't hurt to give them a call...

sjscooby- they have it listed Speed Star Wheels SP1 (instead of SSR Professors). The 17x8 in Silver Satin or the 18x8 in Bright Satin (both w/ polished lips) are pretty good choices.
