Quite a few local parts departments will work with you to get their prices to match the online prices, once you add tax and shipping charges. I know that I've done that for a bunch of parts and they're usually within a dollar or two with all of the costs factored in. Plus, you usually don't have to wait nearly as long for parts and some are usually stocked. Additionally, you're helping support the local economy!

I am glad to see that there is a local dealer that offers a small discount to the local subaru club members. I just moved in the area and I went to the Livermore Subaru for a PCV valve, the guy on the phone keeps telling me that my car doesn't have a PCV valve because the "system" says so. So I tell him "just order the part man, and I'll show to you where it is when I come to the dealer". Honestly this is the first time that someone tells me that a part in not in my car. In Minnesota we had a 20% off parts at one of the dealers in Minneapolis if you were a club member.
But now, how is it possible that different dealers have different prices for the same part? The pcv valve was cheaper in Livermore than a couple of other stealerships I called. So strange.

As for the prices, (Ryan can explain this better than I can, since he explained it to me), but every dealership has MSRP, however they have a different list price, which they can choose what to charge. In my experiences, without the i-club discount, Livermore has been cheaper than most other local dealerships for the list price.

Do you mean bleed screw cap? If so, you can buy them at a dealership. I just picked one up from Stevens Creek Subaru.
