Correct me if I'm wrong, when I was growing up in Santa Clara, 104.9 was a spanish station.

104.5 Kfog
104.9 some spanish station
105.3 KITS (live 105)

Am I wrong?
When I got to California, 105.3 used to be KOME.

*shrugs*

105.3 is still KITS aka Live 105 (IIRC).

KOME was 98.5. the first home of howard stern in the SF bay area.

but their SF coverage was weak. so since they were under the same family, the HS show was move to 105.3, which was always been KITS...

KOME had been a hard rocker station from the 70s and 80s...

one of the funniest bumpers i heard: "dont touch that dial... there's KOME all over it..."

lol....

KITS when it started was a top 40s station. they looped the same chartlist over and over. (early 80s...) then they went to the alternative music, which is what they are now.

I have never listened to fm radio ever since I got sirius. No commericals and the selection of music sirius plays is much better
