Wheel Paint: Gold. Suggestions?

Painting stock wheels gold... My friend Kendall used flat black auto paint on his stock wheels, did like 4-5 coats and it looks awesome. Wanted to do the same, only use gold. Anyone have recommendations as to what paint and specific color to use?

Thanks.

I would say duplicolor wheel paint, but they dont make gold, only bronze

that VHT is like 10 bucks a can

the most important part is properly prepping the wheels. If you properly prime them and put lots of clear, the actual paint you use should matter too much

+1 for duplicolor! I did my stockers in flat black and they look sweet. just do it inside your garage so you wont get overspray all over the wheel.

I painted mine duplicolor bronze:

Im repainting them GOLD:

I picked bronze because it was less flashy.....but once it was on the car it just didnt have enough kick to it. Gold will look much better. Ive seen lots of good pics of the Duplicolor instant gold on the other site. I probably wont repaint them until next year but I will post pics then

i used Rustoleums Brass Metallic paint.. came out great. Longs Drugs lets you test the color inside the store and this looked the best. just make sure you don't inhale too much or it might affect your decision making

The link spraycans are sold out from all the subarus.

Duplicolor's """BRONZE""" (big air quotes) sucks, its too pink, not enough brown.
Bronze is Rota's "sports bronze" dark and dirty
But those Bronze RS wheels look better than the color on the spray can cap.

What would be a good primer so i can choose my own color bronze? Ive done black before and it just chipped off.
