whats with the sti folks??

You know, I try to wave or give a hand signal (a friendly one!) to other suby owners if I see 'em...I don't discriminate against rs owners or anything else.

I think its kind of funny how I have tried to give these friendly greetings to STi drivers and have been resoundingly ignored.

I guess sti implies you are "above" us "regular" wrx drivers....
kinda sad I think.

just a little ranting and an observation.

anybody seen something like this?

any sti owners care to comment?

um, its cuz a whole bunch of them are people who just jumped on the bandwagon and don't know wtf is going on? it was the same with the wrx, but now that the wrx has increased subaru's fame even more, the STi is going to be even worse.

There is a lot of "new blood" among Subaru enthusiasts thanks to the introduction of the STi.

It is both good and bad.

i think most sti owners aren't on any forums, they buy it because they think its the best subaru you can buy right now.

I usually wave to all Subies, doesn't matter model or year, except when the driver is mid-aged female that looks totally serious.

I usually take 80 from Berkeley to Bay Bridge to SF (Financial District or Van Ness). I do think many STi owners are slightly older and may not be a member of any forums.

On Saturday I finally got my first wave from a WRX driver while in my Legacy, before that I'd wave / thumbs up ect.. but people would totally ignore me.
