I had a hot pastrami sandwich that I reheated. I bought it from The Hat in Pasadena last night.

 

ahh **** I miss The Hat pastramis!!!! and the chili cheese fries. and its always better the next day when the breads all soggy. Damn I want one soooo bad right now!!!

I made myself a donburi where the star ingredient was......washugyu! For those who don't know, washugyu is the American Kobe beef.

 

sounds good, where does one get that?

 

^ Washugyu? I picked some up from Mitsuwa when I was there Sunday. Mitsuwa is a Japanese market. The one I go to is at 675 Saratoga Ave. in San Jose. Just to let you know, washugyu is expensive. I bought the chuck used for sukiyaki, which is ~$21/lb. Washugyu ribeye steak is $65/lb.

However, the meat is nicely marbled, tender, juicy, and full of beefy goodness

tonkatsu is pretty awesome. I had katsu the other day in Redwood city and it was pretty much like tonkatsu

 

Dude ar where is that restraunt at or are you pulling these pics off the web. Those plates look so good.
