Ok I'm on my way to work, I decided to take the 101S to 680N instead of taking the side roads today. I get off of Santa Clara street on to 101S, stay in my lane and get on the 680N overpass. All of a sudden a white evo MR(later noting it still ahd dealer tags) with two little nippleheads in it comes flying across from the fast lane of 101s and gets next to me. He plays the surging bit then puts the hammer down and tries to get away. I didn't see any cars ahead or behind so I figured what the hell and put the pedal to the floor and nicely catch up to him in the middle of the turn and start passing him, but I notice he's getting closer and closer to me not being able to hold the curve, which was making me a little nervous so I let off the gas and let him do his thing. He let off the gas as well until we hit the straight last leg of the overpass, then he nailed it again. I caught up fairly easily and let off just as my nose passed his, but he wasn't done. He proceeded to cut over three lanes, cut off two different people, ended up having to slam on his brakes to avoid nailing someone hard. I modestly merged over to the fast lane when I note the nipplehead whip over 4 lanes and get on my ***. No cars in front or the side of me so I put the pedal to the floor and pulled a few cars on him before letting off and he gets right on my *** again, so close I couldn't even see the hood vent. Ok he took fun and games a bit too far, I was done, but again he wasn't. He rips across 3 lanes, gets into the slow lane cutting a car off with a few feet to spare then guns it weaving in and out of traffic cutting off numerous people, all to prove what a man he was.

I'd already proven in a curve the teins, sways, and pirellis were enough to outpace him, in the straights I'd already proven the vf34 was enough to pull on him, but WTF is with this weaving in and out of traffic to show how big and bad you are, but really just showing what a freaking retard you are? I just don't get it. I see these antics more and more, and it's really starting to disgust me. These twinks obviously have no thoughts of anyone else's life or ever their own. Am I missing something, or does this weaving in and out of traffic show the "TrUe Mad TyTe JdM InItIaL D dRiVin' sKiLlZ yO"?

yeah I know, It wasn't the best thing to do. If most of us weren't concerned with the person next to us beng quicker we'd all be driving hyundais. I have my limits though. If there are side roads, or I can't see what's ahead I don't risk it, and I most definately don't weave in and out of traffic, hell I don't even change lanes when I'm on the highway usually(I pick a lane and stick with it until it's time to get off). I say there's a HUGE difference between running someone for fun taking as small of a risk as you can(there risk just putting your key in the ignition) and playing speed racer on the highway.

But you egged him on. Had you not of done what you did, he may or may not have gone to the extremes and cut off cars and risked other peoples safety. It's hard to say though, as he was a dumbsh*t anyways. Be safe man, you never know if the other person will lose it and crash into you....racing random people is a crap shot

 

that's the dangerous part of "playing" with someone you don't know.

I've encounted a few people over the years that take it much much to far. Sometimes with my provoking...sometimes without. Regardless I'd have to imagine that even if you had turned your nose from the guy he would have messed with you a while then went and smashed around and cut off a bunch of people anyways. People with ***** envy seem to do it with or without provokation. Is that word? should be.

 

That's why you shouldn't race people on the freeway. When they're a dumb *** and have something to prove, they drive like that guy - poorly and very aggressive. He could have easily caused a wreck (and it sounds like he nearly did). Guess what would have happened if he'd caused an accident .. you'd be toast because it occurred while you were street racing him.

 

why? are we defending the evo driver by blaming his actions on a subie that clearly owned him at his own instigation?

I'm blaming the suby driver.

I get people all the time who try to race me, they pull up next to me on the freeway and look over, do the surging thing. I've had 5.0s, SRT-4s, S4s, etc, etc. I just look at them, shake my head no, and let them be on their way.

Know why? Because when I won't race them, they usually just speed up a little bit and continue on their way. They don't weave across mutliple lanes of traffic to try and pass me, they don't risk everything over nothing.

For me, it's not worth the risk. The last thing I would want is to get in a race like that and either me or the other guy wreck, and then my life is ****ed. Jail time, lose my job, lose my home, my life with my fiance. No thanks. I'll keep moving along at my own pace, not trying to prove my dicksize to some dumb ***.

 

im seeing it more and more as well! last week some douche in a camaro on 680 south in danville was doing the same thing. stop and go traffic! where you gonna go big shot? retards....

 

I've run into this type of situation many times over the years. I usually operate on the assumption that the other driver is a jackass, regardless of circumstance, and 8 times out of 10, my assumption is proved correct.

The only thing I'd say about this incident is that once he proved himself to be an idiot, you probably should have just let him go on his merry way. That's just my opinion though, and since no one got hurt and nothing was damaged, it's all good. Besides, you can rest assured that Darwin will catch up to that guy sooner or later.
