What Would You Do?
So I'm thinking about this down the road. How long is this road? I don't know... just brainstorming and beginning stages. Not even sure if this is a worthy thread. Anyways dammit, just vote!
Right now I have a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX with around 18,000 miles.
Anyways, what would you do in this situation?
-Trade in for a Subaru Impreza WRX STi
-Trade in for a Subaru Legacy GT Ltd. Sedan
-Trade in for a latest model Chevrolet Camaro SS LS1
-Keep the WRX and mod it out
-Other (non-car related) as in cash in car, invest money? This would make me buy a bucket for driving purposes, but with some leftover green.

That all depends on what kind of a driver you are.
Sure, but if you're going to buy an STI to go drag racing, you're probably not going to be too happy. If I was looking for a GM muscle car, I'd go look at a GTO. Ugly as sin but good numbers and fully independent suspension.

The "smartest" would be buy a bucket and invest.
The "most fun" would be buy an STi.
The "most likely to regret not buying an STi" would be buying the LegGT
The "potentially most expensive" would be modding the WRX.
The "middle of the road" would be to just keep the WRX, and invest the difference that you would've spent on the STi. Unless of course you have no cash.

I am going through a similar dilema. Do I get a
sti
or
legacy gt
I am trading in my car hopefully friday or sat (trading in my 02 wrx with 67k miles). In this current 5 minute timeframe, I am getting the STI.
The LGT is a fine car.. For me, if it had come with pinks, non-sliding calipers (basically brembos on the stock (rather large) rotors), the 6 speed and DCCD, and wider stickier rubber, I would be getting one.
fyi--I test drove the GTO and it is a really nice car. It handles better than any non-corvette GM car I have driven and has better build quality/materials than ANY gm product I have seen. It is also right quick matey!!!!

I voted Camero. YOu can get those things CHEAP now, and with just a few grand invested in intake, heads, a cam, and exhaust and improved suspension, you'll be spanking STis, hell you'll be spanking z06s. Spend another 4 grand for a pro charger and you'll spank just about anything. Grand total for all those parts and a low mileage SS will still be less than an '05 STi. They'll get you much more attention from the ladies as well.
