Realistically speaking, what are some things you'd like to accomplish in your life before it's too late to do so? It can range from anything as simple as learning how to cook to climbing Everest. I'll start:


1. Learn how to play chess. Sadly no one around me has ever really played.

2. I'd like to go back to school and do something different, perhaps pursue a degree in art, perhaps illustration or design, maybe even advertising.

3. Travel to Iceland

4. Travel to South Africa

5. Travel to the host country of the World Cup

6. Go to Oktoberfest again, especially now that I'm all grown up and not just a kid, Oktoberfest is the best festival on earth! Nothing comes close to it! Great food, hot girls, and more beer then you can possibly imagine! Not to mention the hospitality of the people there, as well as the fact that I have a lot of family and friends back in Germany. I can't wait for this!

7. Go to NY City

8. Go see the live erupting volcano on the big island of Hawaii. (been to several other islands, just not that one)

9. Go to Fiji when it's safe to travel

10. Visit Australia's Great Barrier Reef (largest living thing on earth)

11. Ride in a fighter jet

12. Own an authentic P-38 **** pistol from WWII complete with background info and paper work for it. (as a collectors piece)

13. Own a genuine matching M1 Garand from WWII in good shape with background and paperwork (if possible)

14. Go to Japan (So I can be looked at like a freak, lol)

15. Buy a vacation house in Croatia along the beautiful Dalmatian coast. (The Hawaii of Europe)

16. To live somewhere that allows free ownership of firearms (read: Not CA, MA, & NY)

17. Own at LEAST one fully automatic rifle or sub machine gun, preferably in 9mm for ammo cost purposes. hehe

18. Own a nice house with my own basement-type play room with plasmas, a pool table, racing seats connected to gaming consoles, a fridge filled with beer all the time, and invite friends over all the time

19. Write an autobiography of my life, and a documentary on my family so that my great-great-great-great grand kids can read it some day, like a legacy. If I die before that, I'll be really sad, well, if I'm able to be sad.

20. I'd like to have 2 kids, at LEAST 1.

21. Would like to own a really high end sports car, like a Porsche GT3 or GT2 even! It's more realistic then you think, especially since those cars dont hold their value at all. (compared to the price they paid for the car new)


Those are the ones that stand out in my mind and that I can think of right now. Here are some of the one's I've accomplished thus far in my 28 years:

1. Worked at Adobe systems

2. Visited Germany (Lived and visited 10x), Switzerland (4 x), Italy (1x), Croatia (Countless times), Bosnia and Herzegovina (dozen x), Slovenia (2x), Czech republic (1x), Poland (1x), Lichtenstein (1x), Spain (1x), GB (1x)

3. Owned a 2.5RS

4. Owned a WRX

5. Owned an STi

6. Got married to the girl of my dreams

7. Got to the point of my career that I didn't think I'd ever get to without certain qualifications, and went above and beyond it

8. Helped changed the lives of 2 disabled individuals with muscular dystrophy by organizing charity drives to create funds to make their lives much, much easier. I hope to change many more in the future.

9. Animal rescue, I've rescued and helped rescue in the number of 20 dogs and cats. All of them are now safe and have good homes.

10. Punched a bully in the face even though he was way bigger/stronger then me, he picked on everyone and no one would stand up to him and when he went to pick on me I clocked him in the nose. Of course this was elementary school, but it was big news back then. lol





Lets hear your goals in life, may they be small or large, lets hear them. I always find it interesting to listen to people talk about the things they want to accomplish.

 

There's a bucket list thread somewhere on here, most of them were pretty practical things. One of mine was "Go to Scotland" which I'm doing end of summer of '10

 

That's it? The only thing you want to do before you die is go to Scotland?

 

No, thats one of the things I want to do, that I actually have the plans in motion to do.

Yes! I'm with you on that one. Apparently when you eat the fish the toxins numb your mouth which is quite safe since it's in such small quantities.

I hear they make you sign a contract that if you die that they aren't accountable.

 

Oh this is kind of a tough one...

• Own a Subaru

• Own my own place. (My parents are really pusing me to get a condo or something)

• Actually connect with a girl I like, OR actually like a girl I connect with.

• Finish School and get a degree

• Work a job I truly enjoy working.

(There is a lot more that I can't think of at the moment, and I used bullets mainly because these items really are in no particular order.)

 

One word of advice to you, Jourdan, is to NOT SETTLE. No matter how lonely you are, don't settle for some girl because you'll miss the opportunity to meet that right girl. You're still way young, trust me, you'll find that gal that shares the same interests with you, someone who you enjoy spending time with rather then just spending time with someone because you're lonely.

You can do it.

3. Travel the world, i want to travel to at least one country a year once i get a full-time job. First up on the list is China, and then Egypt.
4. Visit the seven natural wonders of the world.
5. Go scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef (2-5 are kind of intertwined)
6. Own some higher end sports cars, kermit green GT3RS, newer NSX, etc.
7. Go skydiving and bungee jumping
8. Become a professor
9. Open a successful business
10. Buy a house with a view of the ocean, such as in La Jolla
11. Have a family

And a lot more.

7. Go to Germany drive on the autobahn
8. Own a house in da future
