It sounds to me like its a part time electronics sales position.

 

Perhaps its because the unemployed feel they are worth more than that job?

Not saying working at gamestop is a bad thing. I love video games, I'd love the perks of working at a game stop, E3 passes, discounts, news on release dates etc. Its actually a great stepping stone of getting into the game industry imo if you don't know the proper people at publishers or studios.
