OMG, I feel your pain.
I was around when that whole crap was going on, with some stupid froshie wanting to make a name for himself by protesting the use of the Indian as a mascot. His dad was some lawyer of political activist. Guess he wanted to show his dad just how much they were alike or something. My friends were VERY ticked off about that, being seniors. They ended up as the Cardinals, having been Indians for 3.5 years of their Lowell stay. The worst part of it was, that stupid frosh LEFT the next year.

of course, so is mr morlock they both taught my dad back in the late 60's when he went there.
on the whole there are still a lot of alumn working there, mostly the sciences change regularily.

Well isn't that something. I hardly ever run into people that went to that school, let alone those with a similar interest. Part of that stems from the fact that my graduating class had all of 36 people in it. I'm sure they had quite a bit more students by 2000 though.
