02 wrx 81.5k xpt stage 2.

I had my camshaft position sensor go out at 55k. (60$ part.)

My CV boot just ripped and my timing belt tensioner is on its way out, but besides that I havn't had any problems. I'm not easy on my car either. Still starts up every morning in 15 degree weather.

easier to answer what is still original;

Turbo,
struts and springs
gearbox
center driveshaft
back door windows and cargo area windows
all doors
side skirts (although they are falling off)
back hatch and window
power steering pump...and um.....

and one of my sets of rims, although I'm not sure which ones.

Things that went I believe prematurely or repeatedly;

Windshield (soon to buy #5)
Battery (OEM dead in about a year, Optima has performed awesomely ever since)
Update; now at 235,000 miles

Shocks and spring replaced with Tien HG's in December.
Side skirts finally fell off, and I might be looking at a new turbo soon

Other than that, the above list is still accurate

It died on me twice. At the end of a track session at Thill, it went into safe mode, CEL, Cruise light flashing, no throttle, then just shut off. But I started back up with no problems.

108K miles I snapped a rear lateral link in two pieces and the other was nearly snapped in two. Took the opportunity to upgrade with some whiteline KTA108's.

Just replaced the 15Amp M/B-5 fuse that runs the horn, cruise control, parking lights, and alarm lights.

Ordered a new transmission mount since the back and forth bucking I get from mismatched revs while downshifting has gotten worse.

would like to get the steering wheel re-wraped and front seats reapholstered. Any recommendations?

around 40k, on my 04 STi, the connector to the dash "fell out" and i lost all power to the speedo, odo, etc...

dealer just snapped it back in, for about $140...

but now, around 48k, brakes are needing to changed...

Well it finally happened, at 246,000 miles my gearbox gave up.

RS close ratios FTW!

Oh, and Optima #1 had to be replaced this summer.

the backlight on the speedometer and speedo needle went out the other night. i'm wondering if the satelite radio I installed is drawing too much power? its the only electrical to have changed recently and 2 electrical parts have failed since install.

Weird.
