Maglite or Nanchakus.

Sometimes swords and knives... stabbing weapons.

Yeah, I support the second ammendment as well, but I'd rather not carry assult rifles in my car. (AK, AR, etc)

daniel, of course not... that would be ILLEGAL!!!!!

and please stop referring to them as "assault" anything...

next thing you know, the group of anti-small performance type cars will be referring to our subies as "assault" sport compact cars.

rather call them what they are: semi automatic rifles. the term "assault" rifle was created to bring more "evil" connotation to them, when they weren't.

when i'm out: size 12 work boots, *very* hard knuckles, mag lites, surfire lights, pretty much anything by Benchmade or Spyderco, a very hard forehead. in a pinch, beer bottles, pencils, car keys, and pool cues will suffice.

when i'm home: 100lb German Shepherd who isn't too fond of strangers, baseball bats, basically anything found in my toolbox and real hardware if it comes to that.

Um, they are assult rifles. I bough them before the "Assult rifle ban", not the "semi automatic rifle ban".

Just because something isn't automatic, doesn't mean it's not an assult rifle.

Plus, that's what people call them, and they know what I'm talking about.

(You can't group a semi auto AK, or an AR-15 in the same group as an M-1 Garand.

once again, the term "assault" rifle was created by someone who wanted to make them out as evil things.

no need to feed the anti gun people with more non-sense things like "cop killer" bullets and stuff...

i know it's more "cooler" to say "assault" rifles, but just irks me... just my 2 cents.

okay, i gotta stop hijacking this thread...

but you know, the old venerable M1 Garand semi auto rifle (used in WWII, Korean War, etc) does the same thing as a civilian AR/AK that hasnt been modified to fire auto mode. yet no one calls them "assault" rifles.

i hope i'm making my point.

anti-gun people: assault rifle

pro-gun people: semi auto rifle

i beg to differ.

know why i cant buy a HK PSG1 or a Barrett M82a1 semi auto rifle in the people's republik of kalifornia?

because under the stupid 1989 Roberti-Roos Law, both are considered "assault" rifles... and have "evil" features like removable magazines and pistol like grips. the M-1 is "okay" by their standards since it doesnt have a pistol grip.
