What do you do for a living?

I've come across i-clubbers that do some very interesting things for a living. From guitar makers to brake engineers for Ford. Post what you do for a living here. For the record, I currently work at a running specialty store in Menlo Park. That's not exactly my life goal, but while the economy is in the toilet I'll take anything I can get. (Plus it's actually pretty fun ) I have a degree in Economics so I want to end up starting my own business sooner or later, but in the meantime I may end up doing commercial real estate, sales, or marketing.

Wow....tell me you have the hookup at Runner's High?!

I'm about 3 months away from finishing my PhD at Stanford in Genetics. Then I'll be working in a biotech startup based around my research in South SF. Then my car will really get modded. And I will be cloning myself too!

I am an AEGIS Weapons System Technician/Display Systems Engineer in the Navy.

Right now I work at Ames as a MCSE/Administrator.

May get out and become a CHP.

Yes, I could get out and go GS, or go to work for Lockheed or many other companies, but it is just boring, plus I want to go back to Japan, and I love to travel.

Yeah, mexicanpizza, I do work there. PM me your name and I'll look you up in the computer and perhaps you'll get the "i-club discount."

Wow, some really interesting ones already!!! Hey, ish I almost got a degree in ME and sometimes I wish I followed through with it because I love playing with parts and trying to make them better. If I were you I would talk to Turbo XS or Vishnu and try to get a job in the automotive industry. That's me though .

Hey, Andy is AEGIS the missile defense system? I forget. And why would you want to be CHP? Haven't you ever seen Super Troopers? If you haven't, then get it because it will be the funniest movie you've seen in a while.

Why yes, as a matter of fact, it is! We also to TBMD as well.

I don't know, I have always wanted to be a CHP. I guess it is something about driving fast with no reprocussion!

I will have to check out "Super Troopers".

Been a software engineer for the past 10 years, now unemployed thanks the wonderful economy...

I am thinking about starting my own business at this point since there I have little motivation to go back to teh software developer hell I have called my career.

So I might become yetanotheraftermarketvendorontheinternet largely because I am far more motivated when tqueaking cars than writing code. Plus, it makes my motorsports activities a marketing expense

I do data entry for a bank from 7 p.m. until the work is done at night (most of the time, 11, sometimes, 12, if it's real busy, 1 and once even tried almost 4 a.m. on the day before Thanksgiving cuz the end of the month is hell). So all I do is enter numbers and names off loan related documents. Not a bad job considering I'm sitting on my *** most of the time and eating food.

I'm also a full time student at the Academy of Art College during the afternoon majoring in new media.
