Hopefully this was the cause of a small coolant leak
Basically broke when I took it out

FWIW IIRC the crap all over it is what's left of the factory insulating foil. That's the clear glue backing after the foil likely disintegrated with age.
Hide, grab some insulating sleeve and cut it to size. Goodies as well as VicHubbard have it, it's the same stuff I wrapped those sensor wires for my 4Runner in when I put in the headers.
*Your clear tubing is almost roasted and gonna crack too, looks like dark tea now.

That's not factory it was a shorter line which means Kenley and Aaron probably swapped a different one on when the turbo swap was done almost 10 years ago. The tubing was the braided style not the smooth one.

Much as I'd like to Whiteline out my car in full, I've been looking at the Perrin Stout Mounts as they look a bit sturdier (have read accounts of this as well) and are $50 cheaper if nothing else. Can just paint em gold and call it a day too.
Today: set the bar to medium. So far, bueno.
I also found out my exhaust can set off car alarms in parking structures...
Addendum: also out in the open if the alarm is touchy enough re: canibeat last night lol

On my way into work today........a little puff of smoke from the turbo area and a warning light on the boost gauge. Sure does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Car seems to run fine and boosted, but I have a call in to Mann to see if he can take a look at it today.
