What can I do with the smoke?
I live in a condo and I am the upstairs unit. Downstairs people smoke every night on their porch and the smell of the cigarette would flow into my living room through my balcony. I HATE cigarette smell and I can’t stand it. When it was winter, it was okay because I had my windows closed most of the time. But now summer is damn hot and I would like to keep it open, especially when the night gets cool. Is there anything I can do? I don't think I can ask them not to smoke in their own property. But I can’t stand the damn cigarette smell either.

Write a polite letter explaining that you don't appreciate their smoke.
Walk down to their door and nail said letter to their door with either a .45 ACP round or, if you don't own a pistol, a rail road spike.
If you don't have a spike, let me know...I got a ton of 'em.

LOL! Thanks for making fun of situation... I needed that laugh.
I thought of writing a polite letter (real one), but don't know how to put it....

I know it's a good solution... but why should I go out of my way because something they are doing?
