Hey I thought this would be an item the most would want cause EVERYONE has to change their oil so why not make it easier? I don't really know who could start this or how to go about it but I was thinking if we can get A LOT of people then get the price down to below or around $10. I just can't see spending $22.95 for a little valve =\ So if you got any ideas how to arrange it or if ur interested post up.

So, IMO this would not be worth it. Mainly because ALL the valves would be shipped to my house and I can't be shipping out a bunch of valves myself to people who don't live in my area. And also $2 off the price is not really enough to have a group buy over... it would only lower the price to around $19. Sorry to dissappoint anybody... I knew this was a good idea so I tried. Looks like if we want an effective group buy there would have to be 200+ people.... but the again is the problem all the valves would be shipped to one address. So looks like I'll be paying the full price for one.. *doh* =0

below $10 would be near impossible....thats asking them to drop the price 56%...

I paid the full price of $22.95 and its well worth it...but I guess if you can get it cheaper that would be even better

don't know the vacum trick?

take a shop vac (house vac with hose may work, haven't tried it on wrx yet.) put a rag over the end (like a filter so you don't get oil in the vac.) and hold it on the filler neck of the car. You'll need a friend to hold it, but you can now remove the drainplug withoug losing oil. I used to do it all the time at jiffy lube when I worked there, because the guy down below would have to change a washer or plug after adding new oil.

at least you can install the new valve before your next oil change if you have a friend.
