I completely agree with that the Whale Wars folks are trying to do... I am completely entertained watching the incompetence on TV.
would it really be THAT hard to buy a WWII era Torpedo boat and just blast one of the tankers.

Im so glad others feel the same way I did after watching "Whale wars". What a bunch of idiots. The worst was their crew of idiots getting them surrounded by ice that they couldn't escape. They had a small hired crew (like 3 guys) of sea hands, and when the hull was about to be imploded by the ice, the captain told the hands to go down and try to put some boards accross the hull to try and keep it intact. The sea hands were like "You may pay me, but your mission is not worth my life".
How the hell can these damn hippies even afford to go out on these "volunteer missions"? Do they have a home that they have to pay for, or bills or anything?

While I have to agree the Sea Shepard guys are complete tools, this other video shows another angle of the incident. I looks as if the whaling ship turned toward the Stealth boat to give them some water cannon, and did not turn away fast enough. The Sea Shepard guys are still stupid!
