Becareful of what you wish for.. AWD system was never designed and meant for that 1/4 mile hard launching. Its fine if you do it moderately.. but even the almighty EVOs will have the same problem if constantly being launched w/ too much power, the TC will break and shatter.

Sac. raceways a nice(nice as in they let u run 11's without a cage) fast track.
I don't think you can guarantee that. They let you slide that one evening because your car looks stock and not 'backyard'. If they saw an 11 second '76 Camaro with a loose fitting fiberglass hood and going sideways down the strip after the green light, they would indeed enforce their rules. If they never enforced their own rules, they wouldn't be able to get insurance for the drag strip.

It's possible that all the AWD cars will be permitted to run 11s without a cage or driver's (fire-resistant) jacket but just don't be too shocked if someone is turned away after the first 11-second pass. Personally, I think that AWD cars are the easiest things to drive down a drag strip compared with a FWD or RWD car capable of turning the same E.T.s. The AWD cars go much straighter with less steering correction because there is much less wheelspin.

Agreed....u never know.
But they r the only track that i know of that will let u have more then one 11 second pass, before u get shut down...thats whats i've seen from racing there in the last 7 years..
