GOOD thing boy. They just announced evo is on it's way out;

"There's been no mention of just when production of the current car will end, so if you're in the market, we'd suggest trying to find a dealer with inventory ASAP. The news comes from the automaker's Japanese mothership, which says the brand will instead focus on utility vehicles and EVs. While there are no direct plans for a successor, an Evo XI as it were, the door remains open for a different kind of beast, according to Mitsubishi."

Well then technically, it isn't YOUR STI anymore

They've been saying they'll kill off the EVO for a long time, but if you look at their sales, that would be like sticking your foot in your mouth and shooting yourself in the foot, at least in North America IMO. They're in trouble again, but in the worst case, I'd expect some kind of merger, joint venture or they may get bought. I doubt they'll go away, but they have to focus on what makes them money and increases sales right now and the EVO would seem to be a big part of that.

Lol true not mines but he's a good friend of mine and he said he would hook up anyone from the subie boards that I send his way...

As for the evo and according to deeper resources Mitsubishi is not in fact in trouble but sales has rose 40% world wide with the focus of suv and such. However there's no 2015 evo which leaves its fate unknown. But hey I do like the fact there's fewer evos than Sti out there. ..more of something to be impressed by on t he road. Not saying I would want a 2015 STi launch edition BUUUUT I'm never an early adaptor. Let's see how subaru plays things out.

I read their annual report, their sales are rising and they still only sold like 60K total vehicles in North America. The report said that though sales were up 300% year over year, they still had 8 consecutive months of loss. Sales doesn't necessarily translate into profit.

I've always liked the Evo too and that was what I wanted to buy as well when I was looking and ended up picking up the WRX (one owner, great condition), but the Foz can haul a$$ and other stuff at the same time lol.
