Well...

...I got my car back from xhengmanx (Anthony) after I brought the car to him early friday morning, and I just got it back, and I am shocked...he did such an awesome job with all the installs.

He called me a couple times to give me updates on the installations. He called me once to let me know that a brake caliper bolt snapped when he was replacing the pads, so he was nice enough to get a spare one for me. He called me again to let me know that the stainless steel oil feed line that came with my 16G turbo was faulty. He started up the car and noticed that oil was leaking and traced it back to the oil supply line, so (I think this was what he said) he got one off his other cars, I forgot what he said, but it turned out great. If you guys ever need anything installed, he's the guy to contact. Thanks a bunch man!!!

A list of parts he installed for me:
  • TurboXS TMIC
  • Deatschwerks 1300cc Injectors
  • Maddad Equal Length Headers
  • Maddad Catless Uppipe
  • StopTech Street Performance Brake Pads
  • Walbro 255L Fuel Pump
  • Upgraded Oil Pickup Tube
  • Blouch EVO III - 16G Turbo (ported & upgraded actuator =])
  • STI Oil Pump
  • STI Oil Pan
  • STI Oil Baffle
  • ACT Heavy Duty Clutch Kit w/ Pressure Plate
  • Synthetic Oil Change w/ Filter

I think that's it for the parts list...

Obviously, the car is running REALLY rich, as expected, so it wasn't a big surprise. When I get tuned by EQ this upcoming Thursday...she will be a fracking beast. I drove her home and she sounded like a beast already. GOSH I can't wait for thursday...I was it was here already As for my tune with EQ, sadly I will be staying with 91. I wanted 93 but there was only one 93 station in Livermore and I don't know of any others in the area. I want E85 as well but if I ever needed to drive my car far away, I would be doomed. I think someone told me I could run duel maps, 91 and E85 and switch between if I needed, but I don't think I want to pay for 2 tunes at the same time...$$$$$$ After I get tuned, I'm going to really play/enjoy it on the freeway

I guess the only "surprising" thing was the clutch. I'm not quite sure how to describe it but I guess it's like I have to barely step on it or let it off barely. It's like a short shifter where I don't have to throw my arm all the way to shift, but in this case I barely have to step on it. As I'm letting off the clutch, it kinda lugs but then it's fine after. I'm not sure if it's just the characteristics of the heavy duty clutch kit, but I'll see if I can get that adjusted later. The softness/stiffness of the clutch I could get used to, just gonna see what we can do about the lugging.

Anyways, now that I finally have my car the way I want it... I WILL NOT BE MAKING ANYMORE MODS FOR A WHILE....my girl is a fracking money pit....most of the money I've saved up to pay my tuition for school, I've spent on my car... .....

Now that the parts have been installed, my girl is gonna be sitting in the garage until wednesday, I'll move her out into the driveway and thursday is when I'll take her to get tuned....SO DAMN EXCITED! She's gonna sound even meaner..like a fracking track car!!!

Thanks for reading!!! Feel free to comment!

and all that stuff in 2 days is a really crazy turnaround.. it would've taken me a week to do all that stuff.. 3169 speed is, well.. very leisurely

Cool man, sounds like Anthony did you a solid fitting all those parts in one day..how did the price compare with local shops? Also, is he insured and licensed and do you get some comeback if anything goes wrong with any aspects of the install?

So what I'm experiencing with the ACT clutch where I barely have to let the clutch out is normal then? hahaha, well I think on friday he started working on it around 2 or 3pm and he called it a day (i guess night you could say) around 930pm and he finished up earlier today like 8 or so. yeah, he was pretty quick with the installs, good stuff.

Yeah man, really solid. My girl sounds hella mean now. He didn't do them in one day, did them in 2 days really. Professional shops charge well within $2500+ for the parts that I needed installed. I would've gone with speed element because they are closer, (not to hate on speed element) but Anthony hooked me up with a better deal, so he saved me quite a bit of money. I trust Anthony with the installs and I don't just let anyone work on my car, let alone drive it. He's also a tech at subaru dealership, so I'm pretty darn sure he's more than qualified to work on my car,

Yeah, I can already feel it too. Before I got off the freeway, I stepped on it a bit to get ahead of a car to make the lane change and my car kinda bogged like it lost power and I was like WTF..then I remembered Im not supposed to be in boost kuz I just had parts put on, LOLOL

This time around, I'm getting tuned by EQ Tuning. I'm gonna see how they are.

Thanks! I am going to ask them on thursday if they can give me alittle bit of a discount if I do dual tunes both 91 and E85, so rather than it being like 450 per tune to equal $900 for both, see if they could discount it to like 700 or something. I doubt it, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. If not, then I will make a last minute decision for 91 OR E85 (dunno where I'd store my jugs though...garage is full)

Bro E85! U save money a year, just save up and by like 2-3 extra 5 gallon jugs in case you make a far trip. Thats what I did.

I have to drive about 20-25 minutes to get my Ethanol. So I fill the scoob then my 4 spare jugs and thats last me 2+weeks easy. Its worth it brotha im telling you.

Put those big injectors to work dudee haha

Nearest one is actually like 30 seconds from my house, but that's at the livermore lab, private property..lol.

Next nearest is 28 minutes away from me, which isn't bad.

Where do I get those 5 gallon jugs? I bought a small red one at chevron before, but I don't think that was a 5 gallon jug.

I just don't want to be carrying them in the car and get high off the fumes when I go on a long trip lol

but, I'll probably end up going E85 anyways, dunno! AHHHHHHHH. I can't decide!!!!

well that all depends on how you drive. I wouldnt drive my car that far knowing the E85 situation, so id take somethin else haha. My car will never see 91oct again as long as i own it.
Its one of those situations though, pick and choose how far you wanna go. lol

You can pick up the big 5 gallon racing type jugs, but those can run around 25 bucks per jugg, with the spout and all that. Plus when I use those, their sealed up so If I ever do drive far you cant smell the fuel.

If you buy jugs, do it right the first time my friend. If you need any assistance let me know bro, ill be happy to help you in the right direction and a few small things to get if you go ethanol.

I think the farthest I'd ever drive my car would be down to the LA area. From my house to Subiefest last weekend, I only filled up once and that was at half a tank, so I'm pretty darn sure I'd be able to make it down to LA with a full tank of E85 with some extra jugs. From the looks of E85refueling.com, there are some E85 stations around the area, so I wouldn't be in a terrible position.

Where do you get those big racing type jugs? Do you think any automotive store would have them? Thanks man!

Once you go E85 you won't go back. My car 18psi 91oct put down 342whp 318wtq on Fine line Imports Mustang dyno. 18psi on E85 put down 380whp 364wtq. My car has stock TMIC, japan 85mm airbox! E85 is considered 105oct, but it is compared to C16 witch is 116oct! If you have 91oct map and E85 map don't have to worry about going out of town. LA has E85 stations down there. I just buy 55 gallon drums, can store for 6 plus months if stored correctly.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I'll check out Motowrx to see how big their jugs are. I'll see if they'll fit under my pool table, because that's most likely where I'll keep them for storage
