Weird engine thing while on the freeway (ideas appreciated)
So I was on the way back from San Jose this afternoon, and just before the Mowry exit in Fremont, the STI started acting like it was out of gas. I thought maybe my gas gauge was acting up again, (it read just under a 1/4 tank) and I pulled off and into the Chevron station. Filled up the tank and it stopped at 12 gallons. I thought that was a bit strange, since the care had just been acting like it had no go-juice. I drove it around a bit before getting back on the highway and finishing my trip home. After I got gas it hiccuped once or twice when I stepped on the accelerator but then it evened out and didn't give me any trouble the rest of the way home.
The only conclusion that's made any sense to me so far has been I might have had a little bad gas. Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?

when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Could be that it is starting to get dirty/restrictive. The fact that it hiccuped like that almost sounds like it was slightly clogged, the pressure built up too much and forced the clog through the system, clearing it.
Although either way I would check your fuel filter, and maybe try running some fuel system cleaner through it.

As i always say when this probablem occurs
You car is going to blow up. Probably at a very inoppurtune time. More than likely right after you wash and wax her. My advice... dont be in it when that happens.

and i'll check the fuel filter guys, thanks a lot for the input!
If you have an 04 STi, you might have to pull the small filters within the oil lines. I forgot the technical name for them, but they took them out of the 05+ STi engines. I took mine out and bad acceleration went away.
Yeah, You've Probably Never Heard Of Me.
