From what I hear on the grapevine, this might be a clubrally next year, so if you have any stage rallying ambitions, this is a great chance to get a look at the roads a year in advance.

Neil, I can't comment on anything you heard on the grapevine quite as yet, but flyers and entry forms for this year are now posted at http://www.therallyeclub.org/GW04Entry.pdf

I know you guys will dig these roads even if you don't aspire to WRC glory.

I sure am enjoying writing it!

The PDF entry form says there's an online signup off of therallyeclub.org, but I can't find it!

Any good camping up there? I don't really want to shell out the additional $50/night for the room if I don't have to.

There is, but none of it's terribly close to town.

http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/klamath/recr.../campmap.shtml

On Saturday we will drive past Mt Ashland campground, and Beaver Creek, maybe even twice for beaver creek.

If you don't care about results Saturday night, you could set up at Beaver Creek, you'd be able to have a beer and hit the sleeping bag before the rest of the field even gets into town.

Sunday we'll be over by Shafter at one point, but start location both days is in Yreka proper.

And I don't know about you but I find that being able to take a shower after spending 10+ hours driving dirt roads to be worth $50 in itself.

I definitely hear ya about the shower scene. That'll probably be a necessity at that point.
