Week 5 football thoughts...
Well what a way to finish off week 5 with the colts overcoming a 21 point defecit and beating tampa in OT. I admit there were a few bad calls on both sides but my good old 2nd team the colts over came the bucs.
As for Sunday the Niners reluctantly held off the lions to get a 2-3 record. Honestly if the niners didnt win this one that would of done it for my faith for them this season. Tough game next week against seattle.
The game of the week kansas vs denver. That was a damn good game also. Props to both teams gambling with their perfect records. But the Chiefs came out on top on that one.
Upset of the week the good old bears came back from what being down 17 to 3 to beat the Raiders the AFC champions. See it all goes to show you need the heart to play.
Minisota vikings also came back from being down to beat the falcons and retain their 4-0 record. Can anyone stop Moss?
Yeah those were all the games i could follow this week, Danm good outcome. Im happy! Bring on week 6!
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Dante Hall's punt return for touchdown was the biggest highlight of week 6. He's already scored 4 times from kickoffs and punt returns this season, imagine how many TDs he's gonna have by the end of season?? scary!

yeah and Keyshawn needs to put a stop on his smack talks. He was at it again today taking jabs at Colt WR Marvin Harrison! Calling Harrison is just a screen pass receiver...keyshawn's always talking isht but never does anything! How about score a touchdown for crying out loud??
Tonight's performance break down:
Keyshawn 4 catches for 62 yards
Marvin Harrsion 11 catches for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns!!
oh and Keyshawn also bruised his leg and didn't play in OT. HA

dante hall...second game saver in two weeks...he pretty much is leading them to victory every week...mvp of the season if he and the team keep up this pace.
Freakin Raiders...what the hell was that....I had a pretty good pick em percentage going last week too...then the raiders dump and tampa bay chokes.
MY room mate and I were watching.....I came it late...big lead..we watched the a's game then back and forth...I kept seeing something very familiar....GRUDEN and his damn turn of the offense after a big lead. He did it to the raiders time and time again....even to the last freakin drive..run...run....then when they need maybe 5 yards to get into field goal range in OT.....the go deep 3 passes in a row...so damn stupid it's funny. That is the one flaw in Gruden's coaching...he is so reluctant to run up scores that it hurts him and the team...once you turn it off it's hard to restart.
and yes it was a week call...very...but so was the running into the kicker...they called them by the books but those are two calls you should never make in that type of game.
Gruden beat the bucks last night...he is the only one that can beat the buck....him and his team...no one else.
Indy was the only team I thought had a shot.....and they did...but only because of tampa and gruden...it was aweful...

I'm still not sure what to think about the Panthers.
Seahawks seemed like paper tigers, let's see if the can beat the weak Niners?

Steelers look TERRIBLE, like even Kordell coulda done better, while the Browns may make the wildcard yet!
Jets are SO done, Herman Edwards might be wise to walk away...hackett is such a garbage O-coordinator it's not funny, and C. Martin is DONE!
Cowboys might be a wildcard team too...Quincy's improvement is amazing, I thought he was done.

yeah lots of developements since last year. For the last 3 or so seasons the vikings ranked high for potential on my list but they did anything but suck. This year good start hopefully they can keep it up.
As for Donte Hall i bow down, he is the man when it comes to special teams. If he does keep producing good returns he will get MVP for sure. The thing is i wonder what team will take down the chiefs this season. They are playing really well and tony G has one of the best set of hands in the league. The broncos did a good job against them but the chiefs had the home advantage. Good chance the Chiefs will go all the way this season.
So far the theme of this season seems to be comeback victories and upsets. Last season was a damn good season of football, it just sucks that some of the good teams last season cant get things together like the Eagles. What the hell is going on with that organization? The Jets too are a big disappointment as well. Last season i thought Testaverde should of gotten another shot at starting QB but from what it seems now maybe i will change my position on that LOL!
Yeah i saw the game on sunday Green Bay against the Seahawks. Big diappointment there also, i thought seattles defense would of stuft the packers for sure. But Green ran all over the seahawks. Good performance from the fudge packers.
As for my Niners I can just pray that they can hold together and play good football. They will need to against the seahawks.
