practice rounds? cool! that sounds fun. This will be my first trip to the tracks. I'm very excited. I hope my car doesn't break. I've learned everything by myself. I learned stick on my new car and everything (family despises my car). It is correct that i smell my clutch when i take off? lol.

It's consistency, not who has the quickest run between two cars. During handicap eliminations, you might see a high-16 second car beat a low-12 second car to the finish line. All that matters is having a good reaction time and the ability to run right on your dial-in.

Hopefully i can clear some of your questions up
1: get there no later than 3pm if you want to get all of your practice runs. That place gets packed and it takes awhile to get teched. Usually you get 3 practice before eliminations start (if you get there early and make the first run)
2:HS races against other HS people. Its still side by side. And no, you dont get as many runs as you want. You race untill you are eliminated.
3:The reason you see some slow cars winning is because or what everyone else said, consistency. You say how fast you are going to go, the slower car gets the head start, whoever is closer to what time they said wins. (basically, its a little more complicated though)
4:If you think you might run a 13.99 or faster bring a helmet.
5:Ill be running Sport Street in my black 04. I can give you a ride along if you want some pointers. My car isnt as fast as Noah's, but my 60' is down to 1.7's and my 1/4 time is mid 13's
6:If you happen to win you get a trophy and a t-shirt!!!!
-John
darn...with my ride was dialed for this weds (4/07/04) still gotta get an alignment and all of my paycheck went towards an alignment and ss brake lines....maybe i will cruz by and represent in my LIC shirt... WHOOT WHOOT!!!!!!!

i think the extra weight might slow me down though. As long as you can make some good bass noises ill take out my speakers and you can lay back there:banana:
