So i havnt gone to the drag strip in along time and kinda forgot about it actually. I havnt took my subaru there but im tempting to go out tonight. At infineon raceway they hold "wednesday night drags" every wednesday, and i just wanted to see if others would be interested? If we got alot of us to go itd be just like a wednesday meet in a parking lot, but every 45 min or so we would run a 1/4 mile lol. What does everyone think?

i might be down for infineon one of these days if you guys set up something...they have too many events on the weekends now and wed nights suffer because of it.
for wed nights i usually head to sac. its cheaper and you get more runs in.
ill be heading up on april 23rd for some shakedowns if everything goes well.

 

i think itd be cool if we set up something. kinda the reason i made this thread, to see what people think and if anyone is interested. wheres the sac strip?

How busy is infineon on Wedneday nights?

I went to Sac on Wednesday, two weeks ago and it was PACKED. If you go, get there right at 4:00!! I got there at 6:45 and didnt race until after 9:00, then I got two runs and was kicked out for not having a helmet.

 

hate to burst ur bubble but those rx8 aren't very fast on the strip. Unless urs is hella modified. But in stock trim not very good.

 

Infineon usually is quite packed too...everytime i went there were quite a lot of cars so be there when the gate opens to make your moneys worth...i think the most runs i had was 6? 3 practice and 3 bracket

I was at Infinion on the 26th. There were at least 7-8 subys out there and a bunch of EVOs also seen a new Lotus Elise, 08 Z06 vette with new plates, and a Porshe Turbo. I got there about 5pm and still got 3 practice runs and 2 more runs into elimintations. Ran a 13.9 in my stock 06 wrx. Would of been faster at any other track, because of the high headwinds at Infinion. I was only trapping 94.4mph, and I know 2006 wrx's trap 97mph stock. When school is in session, Infinion isn't that packed, but will be in the summer.
