Wednesday nght drag tips. Help

Hey I am gonna start wednesday night drags @ infineon on the 21st. Does anyone have any advice. I dont want upgrade advice or anytthing liek that. more like:

What RPM to drop/slip the clutch at?

What is a good starting point for a time to go for?

I have a 2006 WRX wagon with Spt intake and Spt exhaust (mid pipe and axel back.)
Someone said 14.1. But i dont think i am gonna hit that first go out, or at all for that matter, but then again i have no idea.
If these cars are known to run low 14's they are gonna make me wear a helmet and I dont know if i will have mine by then.

What tire psi should i be running for the best time?

Any I-clubbers do drag nights @ infineon?

DO i need to get my car inspected before I go out or will they do it there?

And I read soemthing about clear windows. IS my tint gonna keep me from racing?

I dont know what to expect but i dont wanna look like a fool when i get out there. Anyoen that can help, i appreciate it.

Dont drop the clutch or bang gears with the wrx....be fast but careful.

If you drop the cluch or bang gears dont be surprised if something goes kabl00ey in your drivetrain.

slip the clutch. burn some clutch is better than hurt the tranny.

4k is pretty good. before you start, rev the engine keep the turbo spooling.

Yes they will look at your car, run your ties max psi it will help you trap speed out some. also your running tick tmic your car can get hot, dry ice on the tmic in between runs can help keep your car cool. Hope this helps!

i want to go to those drags so bad.. it just sucks that i have to work on that day. I'm gonna guess 13.8 if you get a good launch and hit the gears right. good luck either way and maybe i will see you out there... you never know

What is a good starting point for a time to go for?

If these cars are known to run low 14's they are gonna make me wear a helmet and I dont know if i will have mine by then.
If you get there early enough you will get at least 2-3 practice runs in to see what time you should put down on the car for the bracket racing. With the set-up you have 14.1 seems about what to expect. As far as the helmet, its 13.99 or faster and they would only make you put it on once you run a 13.99 or faster. If you run 14's all night, you'd look silly wearing a helmet.

DO i need to get my car inspected before I go out or will they do it there?
They will tech inspect it there. Make sure your battery is tightened down and the connections are not loose. Also make sure your lugnuts are tight and you are not missing any. That is mostly what they are gonna look for.

Also I'm not sure about the tinted windows, but I would imagine that it doesn't matter cause I've seen cars with tinted windows out there running without a problem. And you will want to race with the windows up. Also make sure you drive around the burnout box. It's a stupid thing to have to mention, but some people don't know. Just pull around the burnout box, line yourself up straight, pay attention to the lights on the tree and don't pull too far forward that you have to back up.

I like to launch around 5k-5500RPM with a very quick slip of the clutch... not quite a dump but close.

Definitely ice down the tmic while staging. The water sprayer won't do much sadly.

I might come out there now that I live in Novat. I haven't actually drag raced in about 4 years
