12 seconds...

is that with or without having to replace the motor half-way down the 1/4 mile ?

Actually- a 12 sec Bug is pretty stout. I used to drive mine daily.

Best pass was 12.66 at 103 on 92 octane.

Mark's car was 94mm bore x 84mm stroke = 2332cc, naturally aspirated.

My car was 94 x 82 N/A

The VW to watch out for is the R32 w/ the stage 2 package that's warrantied by the dealer. Sure, it costs too much, but what you get apparently is a sleeper that will destroy alot of the cars on the road. I forget the stats exactly, but it goes over 200mph and runs low or mid 11s in the 1/4. This is assuming that the car doesn't roll over.

I assume you are talking about HPA motorsports?

I think that's the one. I read it in Motor Trend of one of those car mags a couple of months ago. The stage 2 or whatever costs like 25k though haha. In the article it did say it was warrantied by the dealer. I dunno...I guess it can be pretty sleeper status, but paying 60k for that...err...no thx.
