Buyer should have done his homework and made sure he is buying something that will work.
Seller knew the AP was still married.
thanks guys such an entertaining thread. I love the part where the buyer posted the seller's info then later said he didn't think that the BAIC would do bad things with the info.
ding ding, there is blame on both sides.

so it was yall that post that **** on craig. first of all i didnt sell him no married ap. second i post on craig said it is for an 03 wrx. i said i think it might work for an 04 but im not sure. i tried to help him install it to his car. he said itll probably need the 04 wrx map so he end up buying the ap. third my car is already gone. i said its craig u kno how it works. i mean there aint no refund buying **** from craig. if i was going to sell him a married ap why would i try to help him install it. he shouldve make sure that the ap will work for his car in the first place. how will i kno that he aint the one who broke it and now want his refund. so stfu to yall who do not kno whats goin on.
2) It was tested on a bugeye and it still said it was married. You still sold him a part you should have known was useless to any other car.
3) It's craigslist, there ain't no refund? Are there rules on craigslist saying no refunds? I'd really like to see this, as I've had multiple people reference stupid stuff like that. If you were a stand up guy, you should stand by your parts and if something isn't in working condition, then you should not be selling it, or refund the money.
4) The AP isn't broken, it's still married to a car that obviously is not his. This wouldn't have been posted up on i-club if you picked up your phone and atleast discussed it with him, instead of acting shady, which isn't helping your case at all. This also, points me in the direction which is questioning your case.
Sorry 04SubieWRX, but it seems like this guy has no morals. Sucks for your loss, and that you had to pay quite a bit to get a reminder to make sure parts work before buying them.
I think this was good for both. Both buyer and seller have learned a valuable lesson.
Be glad it was over $340 and an AP, instead of something much more important in life down the line.
Just another growing pain of adulthood

Wow, the seller needs to take an ethics class. Either that or he should read up on karma.
Give the guy his money back not because you have to, but because it's the right thing to do.

1) He tried it on someone else's bugeye, and it's married. Obviously someone is lying. However, I tend to question your story since your car was totalled and I find it much harder to prove your side.
