Warning: Thieves on the prowl...
I didn't notice this this morning only because I really don't pay that much attention to them but here's what happened...
My mom was on her way out of the house this morning when she noticed a dirty mess on the front porch. She looked over to see where the mess came from and found that someone (or some people) had stolen her precious ORCHIDS. And they just didn't steal one pot, they stole all 10 big pots of flowering orchids. However, the thieves did leave 2 pots of orchids that DIDN'T have any flowering buds on them.
How scantless is that? Who and why would someone steal flowers?
My mom was so upset that she called the police and filed a report. My mom thinks that thieves stole them for drug money.

wow orchids...they must have good taste in flowers, but sorry to hear about your plants getting jacked I hate anyone taking anything of mine!

This has just got to be a first for me. I've heard of people stealing T.V.'s, wallets, a car, furniture, jewelery, or even those little caps over the valves on your wheels, but orchids?! Who in their sick little mind would do something like that?! If your mom is right and they did steal those for drug money, then if that isn't a wake up call for a twelve step program, then I don't know what is.

My mom grows orchids, not sure in what condition they're still in. If you want some, i'll hook you up.

In the 3 years that we've lived here, we've never had any problems ... until now! I wouldn't consider our neighborhood ghetto at all. But I would consider some of the people living in our neighborhood GHETTO!
My mom says that the going rate for one flower pot of orchids is $40-$50. So, whoever stole the orchids just scored around $400-$500.

Theives stole my precious plants one time, a little different though
cause I do live in the getto, and my plants wern't orchids, although... they did have flowering buds on them.

my best friends moms has NEIGHBORS come buy and cut roses off her bushes all the time. Sometimes they take whole branches for grafting and they've even had a couple of plants dug out to find holes in their front yard! For roses.
