Anyone have a stock uppipe I could buy so I could gut it. Or any aftermarket downpipes/ uppipes they want to sell?

hey thanks for the response,

I honestly dont know, though, how much a used uppipe or downpipe would be worth.

Are they in pretty descent shape, and do you know of any other prices people have paid for them? I am very interested in purchasing these, but I just dont want to make an offer thats outrageously too little or too much.

Thanks,
Brian

dont bother gutting your pipes, its not worth it.

whats wrong with gutting the uppipe? I've heard many people say there is little difference between aftermarket and gutted uppipes, plus it is a PERFECT fit, AND if you take it in for warranty work with everything else stock the dealers won't know theres anything different about it.

Please give any opinions, arguments, etc. to what I just said. Im open for advise.

Thanks all,
Later

P.S. Tartay, that price for the uppipe downpipe of 60 bucks is fine, after Ive heard why some people think gutting pipes is bad I'll make my decision, thanks again.

Gains are minimal over stock on a gutted downpipe. You are not running a bellmouth design or a divorced waste gate with the stock downpipe. Plus by gutting the stock downpipe, you are still running the stock 3rd cat....sure some people (like my self) liek to keep the 3rd cat...there are many company's who make a downpipe to retain the stock 3rd cat, like Bosal. Bosal makes a twin dump (divorced waste gate) downpipe. Another risk you take by running gutted pipes is leaving particals in the pipes, if the smallest piece of metal gets stuck in the uppipe and u dont realize it, later on down the line that piece can come loose...possibly making it go directly into the turbo.

I would HIGHLY advise AGAINST running gutted pipes.

I reviewed it, check it out.

Many have done it, have posted topics about it, along with great pics of the projects.

Do a search for "gutted uppipe pic"
